The World Championship of Russian Language is a huge international contest bringing around youngsters from different countries lock horns to prove the best in their language skills, general knowledge, logical thinking capacity and teamwork. This Championship is not just a chance to test your skills, yet also a unique opportunity to expand your international experience, broaden your vision horizons and perform at the Final in Moscow.
There is one thing to keep in mind, however –the World Championship of Russian Language is a team event, so you will need a team of five to join. If you are still alone, though, do not give way to worries. We have already got individual applications from different countries meaning there are others, just like you, still looking for their team.
Submit your application to our chat bot indicating your name, age, country and contact details. We will select contestants from your country or the nearest region so that you can make up a team soon, start training and work together to cover all the way thorough from the qualifying stages to the Final in Moscow.
Who can submit an application

We welcome applications submitted both by the potential contestants and by their coaches willing to help the team, from assembling it to getting prepared.
Eligibility criteria for contestants:
  • Foreign nationals, age – 16-22.
  • The coach cannot be younger than 21 and can be a national of any country.

The World Championship of Russian Language for Foreigners 2025 is organized by the INTEROBRAZOVANIE Center of International Education with support offered by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Right now, there are applications available submitted by individuals looking for a team and representing the following countries:

  • Armenia
  • Belarus
  • Bulgaria
  • Canada
  • Jordan
  • Kazakhstan
  • Madagascar
  • Moldova
  • Serbia
  • Tunisia
  • Turkmenistan
  • Uzbekistan
  • Vietnam
  • Yemen

If you live in one of these countries, you odds of assembling a team fast are much higher now. In case you have not found your country on the list, still do not get into despair – leave a request and we will connect you with other potential contestants from your region as soon as we can.
